Who Are We?

Chief Glen Hydrotherapy Pool opened in 2002 under the leadership of Mandy Waller, Senior Therapist. Having been trained, and achieved qualifications at Hawksmoor Training Centre, Mandy has been assessed by the Royal Veterinary College's Senior Veterinary Surgeons and commended for her outstanding achievements when working with Military Dogs.

All staff are qualified at Level 3 hydrotherapy for Small Animals and Lucy now stands as Manager; taking the pressure off Mandy and overseeing the in-house training that occurs for all the staff.

We offer a warm and friendly atmosphere at Chief Glen and free refreshments are available throughout your dog’s session.
We also offer lectures on hydrotherapy, please contact us for further details: (01622) 749740

How did we start?

When one of Roy and Mandy's drugs search dogs, Toby, broke his leg, they were told that he was likely to never put it to the floor again. However, they took him to a Hydrotherapy Pool in Brands Hatch and he was soon using the leg normally.

After seeing how good the hydrotherapy was, they decided to transform a derelict building on their land into a hydrotherapy pool for their search dogs, to maintain their fitness and muscle mass.

They offer a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. The hydrotherapy pool can be of great benefit to a dog recovering from a surgical procedure i.e. cruciate ligament repair, broken limbs or a spinal injury. It may also assist in controlling obesity, by allowing the dog to swim for fun, playing with toys, while at the same time providing exercise.

For the working dog it aids in building muscle and keeping the dog fit.

Referrals from veterinary surgeons are imperative and all insurance claims are dealt with promptly.
